Hi, and welcome to my page. My name is Nosheen and I'm a qualified and highly experienced integrative counsellor and a registered member of the BACP.
My journey to become a counsellor began when felt and witnessed the stigma around mental health, particularly in the Asian Muslim community. As a Muslim woman I understand how issues around anxiety, loss, abuse and marriages are often seen as taboo topics. Unfortunately for some people this makes them feel having bad mental health means "you're not trying hard enough".

I offer this service within my private practise and at my local Relate centre.
I have experience in :
As a Muslim woman, I may understand issues around culture and religion. However I do not offer Islamic advice on marriages.
I understand it can be daunting coming to couples counselling. I offer a safe, non-judgemental space to allow clients to speak about difficult issues.
My work is around helping couples overcome the difficulties they are facing. I therefore create a blend between counselling and coaching to give couples tools to help improve their relationships.
Contact me today by email to discuss this further.
In individual work I offer an empathic and supportive space, where I hep clients understand the issues they are facing.
I often describe the counselling process as putting a jigsaw together, finding pieces you didn't know existed, and finding a way to make them fit together. Giving you and better understanding of yourself, and allowing you to see things differently and make different choices.
I have extensive experience working with young people aged 15+.
I work in a college where I regularly work with young people with the following issues:
When working with young people in private practice I find it useful to involve care-givers within this process too. This may mean family counselling or Parent-Child counselling.
